False Priest is a Bay Area band playing fun rock tunes with a modest pop sensibility. They have recently released a single and music video for the song “Let Me Be Your Mother” from their upcoming debut album, Driving in Circles. The song tackles subjects of “death and responsibility” against a backing scenery of pounding drums and melodic vocals. You cannot help but think of the likes of Lvl Up and other fuzzy pop-rock groups in the best way possible. Upon my brief exposure to them, “Let Me Be Your Mother” immediately strikes me as a “darker” mood for False Priest, from the production of the song to the artwork. Check out the video below to decide for yourself and stay up to date with them for the release of their album.
